Created in collaboration with Viet/Chinese American artist Thomas Tran, the Cai Dán Tee marks the first public activation of MAKAN's forthcoming photobook featuring the artist's work.
Inspired by the traditional Vietnamese heating patch, the design reimagines an everyday object that carries comfort, care, and nostalgia for many Vietnamese families. Familiar to generations across the diaspora, it becomes a quiet symbol of memory, belonging, and the ways we carry home with us.
